Privacy Policy — Playlistar

The short version: Playlistar has no accounts, no servers and no analytics. Everything it knows about you stays on your device. We cannot see your playlists, your taste, or what you listen to, because none of it is ever sent to us.

What we collect

Nothing. Playlistar does not collect, transmit, store or sell any personal information. There is no account to create, no sign-in, and no server belonging to us for your data to be sent to.

What stays on your device

Playlistar saves the following locally, in the app's own storage:

Playlists you build, and the tracks in them
The genres and artists you pick when setting up a playlist
A preference model — which artists and genres you tend to keep or skip — used to order the cards you are shown
Your settings, such as whether you prefer clean or explicit versions

This never leaves your device. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

Apple Music

Playlistar uses Apple's MusicKit to search the Apple Music catalogue, play 30-second previews, and — only when you tap Save — create a playlist in your library.

Playlistar reads catalogue information (songs, artists, artwork, previews).
Playlistar creates playlists you explicitly ask it to create, and adds tracks to playlists it created.
Playlistar never modifies or deletes a playlist it did not create.
Your Apple Music activity is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy, not by us. We receive none of it.

You can revoke Apple Music access at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Media & Apple Music. Playlists you have already saved to Apple Music are unaffected, and playlists stored inside Playlistar remain on your device.

Analytics and tracking

There are none. No analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no advertising identifier, no third-party trackers, and no cookies. Playlistar does not track you across apps or websites.

Children

Playlistar is rated 18+ because the Apple Music catalogue includes explicit content. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone — we do not collect information from anyone at all.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Since we collect nothing, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a new use of your data.
